Check the list attached below to find the name of the (4) presenters you have to review. Then revisit Module 5: Informative Video Assignment. Click on the discussion thread for your assigned presenters and post your feedback after you click REPLY to that presenter’s initial post. Be sure to follow the directions to receive full credit.
Your feedback should not contain general statements such as, “Your eye contact was good”; Or “I loved your attention step”. Provide specific feedback describing strengths and weaknesses through behaviors you note, to help the presenter improve. You will receive full participation points for complete and timely feedback provided with proper grammar and sentence construction
Your post should contain 2 short paragraphs- One for strengths and One for weaknesses. Each paragraph should discuss the content, organization, use of technology, use of slides, and delivery.
NOTE: Students need the feedback to complete their self evaluations. Late feedback will not receive points.
If a presentation you’ve been assigned to view is uploaded late please keep checking to complete the feedback

PROVIDING FEEDBACK: FOCUS ON EFFECTIVENESS
Practice alone doesn??t necessarily make perfect. Practice
with
feedback
develops skills. Delivering feedback effectively is an important managerial skill as well as a tool to develop others?? skills. Therefore, you need to both provide effective feedback
and
get the most from the feedback you receive.
Guidelines for Giving Feedback
You??ll be providing two-three paragraphs per presenter. One paragraph should be about content; the other(s) on delivery aspects.
Criticism for criticism??s sake is
not effective feedback. Effective feedback is behavioral, objective, balanced, and constructive. When giving feedback, keep these guidelines in mind:
1.
Be behavioral: Describe what the person actually said and did; focus on the specifics of the information presented; pinpoint aspects that enhanced or detracted from the presentation.
Examples:
Ineffective Feedback: ??Your delivery was good, but your content was weak.?
Effective Feedback: ??You spoke clearly and varied your pitch and rate, which held my interest. You also used gestures to emphasize your points; for example, I liked when you made a fist as you said ??We must take a strong position . . . .?? in terms of your content, I don??t think that one quote about . . .adequately supported your statement that . . .; I??d suggest you also include . . .?
2.
Provide positive reinforcement: Reinforce effective behaviors to ensure they??ll be repeated. If we only hear what we do wrong, we soon believe we do nothing right. As a result, we overcorrect or improve in one area only to downslide in another.
3.
Maintain the individual??s self esteem: Adjust your feedback according to the individual??s receptiveness. Adults must keep their egos intact. Begin and end with the positive comments; sandwich the ??developmental suggestions? in the middle.
4.
Don??t guess at speakers?? motives: Deal with the ??
what? not the ??
why.? You could probably spend all day providing rationalizations. Such rationalizations, however, don??t change the results.
Feedback is future not past oriented: Focus on future improvements, not past inadequacies.
5.
Provide alternative positive behaviors: We all want to succeed. Suggestions for how to succeed next time provide us with a plan for future success.

BE THE END OF CANCER
What is BCRF?
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is the first nonprofit organization created to provide funding specifically towards progress of the world’s leading breast cancer research.
As of this year BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer research worldwide.
OUR IMPACT
2003 – BCRF investigators first identify breast cancer stem cells.
2013 –
The Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance launches.
2014 ?? The American Cancer Society reports that deaths from breast cancer have declined by 38 percent since 1990.
2016 – BCRF launches the
Drug Research Collaborative, an effort to bridge the gap between academic investigators and access to drugs in development.
2023 – BCRF launches the first-of-its-kind
Global Data Hub for breast cancer research in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh.
On the left are just a few of the incredible achievements made over the last 30 years by BCRF and its grantees.
With every dollar donated, the door to opportunity opens a little more for BCRF. With over one billion dollars raised, our organization has given some of the brightest minds of our time the tools necessary to save many, many more lives.
My experience with BCRF
The reason I chose Breast Cancer Research Foundation is because of my aunt Lindsey who passed away because of Breast Cancer.
My aunt had routine checkups done with mammograms, but the last mammogram she had didn??t show any signs of cancer. She wasn??t made aware of any issues until she was feeling general pain in her chest/liver; of which when looked at by doctors she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
My aunt Lindsey was 46, and one of the sweetest most genuine souls. I’ll always remember how brave and loving she was when faced with one of the most difficult obstacles in life.
I support BCRF myself and believe in their mission with every fiber of my being.

Who are they?
Cuatro Por Venezuela’s foundation is a charitable non-profit created in 2016.
They partner with local organizations to develop programs that alleviate specific health, nutrition, and education needs.
They deliver aid and resources to the underprivileged in local Venezuelan communities.
Health Project
The Foundation’s strategy focuses on health, dental, and primary care in communities where healthcare is limited or impossible to access.
They provide medicines to patients with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and epilepsy.
Most importantly, they provide access to medical supplies in rural centers and hospitals.
Nutrition Project
A big part of Venezuela’s population is not able to eat three meals a day due to severe food shortages.
The foundation focuses on providing food supplies to orphanages, nursing homes, and local initiatives that cook for the homeless.
They also work with children’s hospitals to provide formula to newborns and toddlers who cannot benefit from breastfeeding.
Empowerment Project
With record hyperinflation affecting Venezuela, many families struggle to make a living.
Low-income parents have difficulties sending their children to school, and many have lost their jobs and need help finding stable employment.
The organization facilitates training curriculums to learn trades and practical skills (such as sewing, typing, and nursing) and supporting educational programs that promote children’s creativity.
