The CIA, or the Central Intelligence Agency, has a storied history, both with low points and high points, throughout American history. For our purposes in a Comparative Politics course, the CIA’s World Factbook is a reputable, and open, source of information on every country in the world. While the nuances of any country can only be garnered by living, speaking, working, and being a member of a country’s community, the information provided in the CIA World Factbook offers us a high-level view of a country.
